Venezuelan duo runner-up table tennis in France

The Venezuelan duo Dakota Ferrer and Jesús Tovar became runner-up in the under-19 mixed doubles category of the WTT Youth Contender Metz France 2025.

The Venezuelan duo won the silver medal after yielding 3-0 in the final to the representatives of Chinese Taipei, Hung Jing-Kai and Wu Ying Syuan who won the three sets played with a score of 13-11, 11-5 and 11-3.

The Criollos maintained a winning streak since they reached the round of 32 by bye for their opponent, and later beat the pairs of Germany, South Korea and the United States/Portugal, according to the Ministry of Sport press.

With these results, the Venezuelan duo has important points in the ranking to favor positions for the drawings of the Montería South American Championship and the Asunción 2025 Junior Pan American Games.
