A delegation of Venezuelan fishermen continues a tour of the People's Republic of China, in order to finalize strategic agreements and acquire cutting-edge technology to modernize the national fishing fleet, within the framework of strengthening the Venezuela Blue Program.
During the conference, Venezuelan representatives visited the companies Rifishing Net and Jinhuan Xing, factories specialized in the production of inputs for artisanal and industrial fishing.
The central objective of the mission is to achieve the acquisition of high quality fishing gear at competitive prices. During the visit to Rifishing Net, the fishermen evaluated the production of nylon, nets and meshes.
In this regard, the members of the delegation commented that they are looking for products to replace traditional nylon with materials that are more friendly to the ecosystem, in order to promote sustainable and sustainable fishing.
“We have found here the sardine mesh used in Venezuela, without a one-inch knot, in the variety of numbers 15, 18, 12, we have found part of what we are looking for,” explained one of the fishermen who is part of the national delegation. He added that they have also seen specific supplies such as mesh for sardine, stingray and shrimp.
At the Jinhuan Xing company, the delegation became familiar with the latest technological innovations in the sector, including the development of a special substance to coat networks. This technology prevents the meshes from absorbing excess water, which translates into greater effectiveness, easy handling and durability of fishing gear.
“These are technologies that the Chinese industry is offering and that we will evaluate together with all the fishermen's equipment to see if or not it represents a feasibility and an advance in our fishing industry,” said the delegates.
This international deployment seeks, in turn, to materialize the commitment made by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to provide fishermen and aquaculturists with the necessary tools to optimize their work and ensure the productive future of fishing youth, to guarantee the presence of artisanal fish in the Venezuelan plate.
The delegation expressed its gratitude to the Bolivarian Government, and assured that they will soon return to Venezuela to deliver the new nylon equipment and nets to the country's fishermen.
