The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, published a statement through his Telegram channel in which the Bolivarian Government expresses its solidarity with the peoples of Central America in the face of the passage of tropical storm Sara.

Here is the full press release:

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its deep solidarity and willingness to accompany the peoples and governments of Central America, who are currently facing the threat of tropical storm Sara, located in the Atlantic Ocean, which has especially threatened the Republic of Honduras, Nicaragua, Belize, Guatemala and Mexico.

The Bolivarian Government makes available to the affected nations, and immediately to the government of President Xiomara Castro of Honduras, the technical and human capacities of the Simón Bolívar Humanitarian Task Force to provide whatever solidarity support it deems appropriate in the face of any emergency situation that may arise in the face of this new natural event.

Venezuela remains attentive to the cooperation plans they determine to support in these difficult circumstances, and we reiterate our commitment to accompany the nations of the Central American region, reaffirming that unity and solidarity between our peoples are the basis for overcoming any challenge.
