Venezuelan Jorge Abreu was crowned champion of the 61st edition of the Vuelta al Táchira

The Venezuelan Jorge Abreu of the Fina Arroz-CES Multimarcas team was crowned champion of the 61st edition of the Vuelta al Táchira.
Abreu recorded a final cumulative time of 36 hours, 23 minutes and 22 seconds to claim the gold medal.
The silver medal went to Brandon Vega of the GW Erco SportFitness team, who was 2 minutes and 05 seconds behind the leader. While the bronze one was won by the young Diego Méndez of the Lotería del Táchira Servitel team, 3 minutes and 07 seconds behind the champion.
Venezuelan cycling also celebrated the strength of Anderson Paredes, who representing the National Team certified his title as king of the mountain after a masterful performance that included his epic victory in La Grita, according to a press release from the Ministry of Sport.
The Vuelta al Táchira also gave space to women's riders with two stages played on Saturdays and Sundays that were dominated by María Sáchez from the Aragua Lottery, who won the title with a time of 2 hours 16 minutes and 31 seconds.
The podium was completed by Fabiana Candelas of the Lotería del Táchira team and Andrea Contreras of the Mul Timarcas team.
