Venezuelan marching delegation improved its times in the Brasilia 2026 World Championship

The Venezuelan athletic marching team that competed in the Brasilia 2026 World Championship improved personal records to set new national caps.

For Milangela Rosales, Olympic winner in London 2012, she achieved the goal of being among the best in the continent in the marathon march. Rosales ranked 31st in the general classification of the event and ranked 17th among the representatives of America with a time of 4 hours 7 minutes and 16 seconds, the Ministry of People's Power for Sports reported in a press release.

For his part, Jeferson Chacón achieved the best record of the season in the half marathon for his record with 1:45.10 and finished in 61st place. Pedro Márquez Pereira, in his first time in the 21 kilometers, was in position 66 with 1:49.07.

Finally, in the under-20 division, Genesis Toro entered the select group of the 11 best in America with a record of 57:44 in its debut in the 10 kilometers of the march on the global stage.

Meanwhile, for Gabriel González in the men's division of this same distance, his debut was frustrated due to a disqualification for incurring technical fault.
