Venezuelan Ministry of Tourism consolidates agreements with Colombia's business sector

Venezuela participated in the Macro-Wheels of America, held in the city of Bogotá, Colombia, on April 14 and 15, to show the country's potential in terms of exports and tourism.
The successful day made it possible to establish agreements for investment and commercial exchange, and Venezuela said it was present with a wide range of investment and opportunities.
The event, organized by Procolombia, brought together more than 4,000 businessmen, investors and representatives of tourism, who attended the Business Roundtable and technical panels, with the objective of promoting strategic lines that facilitate productive development in sectors such as transportation (railways, aerospace, ports and road corridors), renewable energy and public services.
The Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Daniella Cabello, applauded the participation of the Deputy Ministers of National and International Tourism, Nadia Mignogna and Marcos Medina, respectively, and the president of Venetur, Dhenys Álvarez, who carried out an important agenda that consolidates a road map that promotes the country, in the New Granada nation.
Cabello said that this investment platform, with leading operators in the tourism industry, will be defined in the short and medium term, MINTUR press reports.
In this context, during the meeting with Ángela Garzón, director of tourism of the Bogotá mayor's office and Carlos Luna, director of Procolombia, the aim was to promote the promotion of bird-tourism, gastronomy and multi-destination tourism products between Colombia and Venezuela.
In this regard, a virtual meeting was proposed, this month of April, to propose a webinar, with the purpose of offering these products.
For her part, the representative of the Mayor's Office of Bogotá extended an invitation to the representatives of MINTUR to participate in the “Rumbo” Business Roundtable, scheduled for the month of June in the South American capital.
This space seeks to strengthen the exchange of good practices in the sector and to strengthen the multi-destination Venezuela and Colombia, and at the same time to sign a memorandum of understanding between the two institutions.
