Venezuelan Parliament thanks the Russian State Duma for its support in the face of a US military presence in the Caribbean

On Tuesday, the National Assembly (AN) thanked the Russian State Duma for its solidarity with Venezuela in the face of the military presence of the United States (USA) in the Caribbean Sea.

During a regular session of Parliament, the president of the AN, Jorge Rodríguez, read the recent resolution condemning the Russian State Duma against US-led military actions in the region.

Rodríguez praised the position of the Russian Parliament, which made an explicit call to the international community, world parliaments and the United Nations (UN) system to join in condemning this escalation.

The leader of the AN stressed the importance of this support in the current geopolitical context. “In complex moments and in difficult moments, it is when true friends are tested. Russia is a true friend of the people of Venezuela,” he said
