The Venezuelan people marched this Monday, January 5, in support of the installation of the National Assembly (AN) and to demand the release of President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores.

During the mobilization on Avenida Universidad, in Caracas, Mariana Suárez, asserted that she took to the streets to support the National Assembly, demand the release of President Nicolás Maduro and the first lady, Cilia Flores, and respect for sovereignty.

“What happened on January 3 of this year was an affront not only to Bolívar's homeland, but to Latin America, to the continent to the entire world, because they broke with international law, public international law was completely trampled on, as was the United Nations charter,” he said.

For his part, Ivon Ramírez, stated that international rights have been violated, tainted and that is unacceptable. “As a woman, as a mother, as a daughter, as a revolutionary, seeing that they threaten our sovereignty and independence causes us indignation, we will never allow a foreigner to govern the country,” she said.

Meanwhile, Franklin Sánchez called on the entire population to support our peace president, because since President Nicolás Maduro took over the reins of the Bolivarian Revolution, he has called for peace.

“We need the strong support of all the peoples of the world. We are organizing ourselves at the national level from the parish, from the municipalities, from the grandfather's circles, for sure demanding the return of President Nicolás Maduro,” he added.
