On the afternoon of this Tuesday, October 28, the Venezuelan people staged a large mobilization in Petare, Miranda state, on a day in favor of peace and in support of the defense of the country's sovereignty.
With the joy characteristic of Creole men and women, Sandra Bastidas, a resident of the La Bombilla sector, said she was “kneeling on the ground with President Nicolás Maduro and the revolution”. In his words, he explained that he is completely in favor of the measures adopted by the National Executive to ensure respect for Venezuela and even more so “about the measures taken in relation to the island of Trinidad and Tobago, because Venezuela is respected,” he said.
For his part, Manuel Conrado stressed that “this is no time for political differences or absurd discussions because, now more than ever, the country needs us united and focused.”
Added to these opinions is that of Betzabeth Villanizar, teacher of the Casco Colonial de Petare, who said that “we are the largest neighborhood in Latin America and as such we are people raised in loyalty. Today we tell the president that here is our chest to put him in defense of the country. Never again will empire the son dominate the sons of Simon Bolivar.”
