The Venezuelan men's senior volleyball team achieved a double objective in the Men's Pan American Cup (NORCECA) held in Guanajuato, Mexico: to qualify for the Central American and Caribbean Games 2026 and secure their direct pass to the semifinals, after finishing with a perfect record of 3-0 and without giving up a set.
This outstanding performance places Venezuela as one of the two best in the group alongside Canada, a privilege that granted it direct access to the semifinals of the tournament.
The team led by Argentinian Rubén Wolochin demonstrated technical strength, tactical cohesion and physical superiority to prove itself as one of the strongest teams in the championship.
In their last group stage game, the Criollos closed with a resounding 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-8) victory against Antigua and Barbuda, in a match where they displayed all their offensive power and absolute control of the game.
