With more than 30 Wayúu pieces, Venezuela was present at the 14th edition of the Nicaragua Design event, which was held in Managua.

The designer Gisela Ipuana, a member of the Wayúu indigenous people, who has more than 40 years of experience in the production of utility and decorative pieces, was the designer of the pieces that were presented at the event.

Although this is the first time that the Venezuelan designer has performed in Nicaragua, she has already had similar experiences in a dozen countries such as Colombia, Uruguay, Brazil, France and Qatar, among others.

“It's an honor to be here,” said Ipuana, after arriving in the Nicaraguan capital and visiting the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Managua. “I am very grateful and excited for the invitation received,” she said.

Under the motto “Talent that connects, creativity that transforms”, the activity brought together representatives from Vietnam, China, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico and Nicaragua, who for three days exhibited at least two thousand artistic pieces.
