Venezuela's national track and field team seeks places for the Tokyo World Championship

The Venezuelan senior athletics team will compete in the South American Senior Championship, in Mar del Plata, Argentina, for the qualification to the Tokyo World Championship that will take place in September of this year.

The Mar del Plata South American Championship regains importance for athletes in the region, because it gives those who become champions of this edition, with the exception of multiple events and relays, the wild card of a direct place for the world event that will close the qualification period on August 24, he explained in a press release from the Ministry of Popular Power for Sports.
