The president of Conindustria, Tito López, during an interview on the program “Al Aire”, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, stressed that in five years the Venezuelan pharmaceutical sector achieved a recovery of over 355 million units.

“We are going to be closing close to 400 million units for this year; that represents almost a 20% recovery compared to the 40% we had in 2024. The same is true in the food sector,” said López.

On the other hand, he expects that, with the increase in oil production forecast for this year, a greater monetary volume will be allocated to private and public banks, which he indicated will be directed to domestic production, whose sector will generate the largest number of jobs for Venezuelans.

Regarding foreign companies, he said that not only will companies from North America enter; “European companies will also want to enter [...], that are going to create jobs.”

López announced that during the first week of February, the union will publish the economic bulletin for the fourth quarter of 2025; and that the organization reflected a diversification of members, coming from service, domestic production, metallurgical, food, metal-mechanical, auto parts, spare parts, and others.
