Venezuela's women's under-17 volleyball team went to the round of 16 of the World Championship

The Venezuelan women's under-17 volleyball team beat the Philippines in five sets and won the ticket to the round of 16 of the World Championship in the category held in San Felipe, Chile.

‎Las Criollas faced the commitment with determination, culminating 3-2 (25-19, 25-16, 22-25, 19-25 and 15-11).

The most valuable player of the match was Colina leading the overall standings with 27 points and two blocks at decisive moments to secure the third win that gave the national team the qualification to the next round.

‎‎‎‎‎La matchday also defined the final positions of Group B. China closed the preliminary phase as leader, with 15 points.

‎‎ Venezuela ranked second with 9 points, while Peru finished third with 8 points and the Philippines ranked fourth with 7 points.

The next challenge will be against Chinese Taipei, which culminated in third place in Group D with a record of 2-3 with 11 sets won and 9 lost.
