The Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, said that the financial blockade and the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States government excluded the country from 75% of financial tools, so digital financial mechanisms have been developed from Venezuela.
“Today Venezuela is 92% banked and we are going to absolute digital banking that allows mechanisms to react to the criminal blockade that exists against Venezuela, so this vertex is very important, I repeat because it covers not only the applications we have to see in terms of health and education, but also in the face of the new challenges facing humanity,” he said.
The statement was made by Rodríguez, during the launch of the Great Science, Technology and Innovation Mission “Humberto Fernández Morán”, carried out in the state of Miranda, led by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.
In this regard, he pointed out that vertex 4 of this Mission, called: “Venezuela towards digital transformation”, addresses the vanguard from the development of free software and hardware and the responsibility for the digital rights of citizens.
He explained that this vertex is linked to issues such as cybersecurity in the face of the multidimensional attack against Venezuela. “NATO is already using it, multimodal warfare and multimodal warfare is cybersecurity and it's artificial intelligence,” he said.
