The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, criticized this Wednesday the statements of Carl Greenidge, a Guyanese agent before the International Court of Justice (ICJ), that threaten peace in the region.

In a message posted on his Telegram channel, Rodríguez denounced that “Guyana steals oil, gas and gold from Venezuela, and plunders the Essequibo environment while promoting imperial interventionism in our country.”

In this regard, he pointed out that the Government of Guyana learned “from its colonizers the disdain for international law and the rampant patotericism with which they threaten peoples”, which is why he described Greenidge as a “pathetic trace of his Exxon Mobil masters”.

The senior official emphasized that “Venezuela will never relinquish its sovereignty over Guiana Essequiba, nor will it desist from complying with the Geneva Agreement, which Guyana is obliged to respect. Enough of your legal anorexia. Guyana must come to law without delay or delay. Venezuela is respected.”
