The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that more than 80% of the Community Government System and more than 91% of the work teams of the Popular Government have already been installed.
The announcement was made during a popular assembly held in the El Guarataro sector, of the San Juan parish of Caracas, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión.
“This assembly is very important for us to reconfirm and ratify that this is the way forward. Understand each other, live with each other, solve collective problems and advance the availability of resources for the projects that we decide,” he said.
He stressed that Venezuela is one of the few countries in the world where its citizens have the possibility to choose. “That it is the People who decide, that is unique and hence the importance of popular consultations; that it is the organized community that directs where the State's resources go,” he stressed.
He also highlighted the increase in the participation of Venezuelans in the Popular Consultations. “Every space we give to consultations for the people to decide is a space for participatory and leading democracy, which is a pillar of Venezuelan democracy,” he said.
In this regard, he stressed the importance of the elections of May 25 to consolidate the achievements, “there are the Law on Justices of the Peace and the Law on Entrepreneurs, they were initiatives taken by the President of the Republic, having a patriotic Parliament that responds to national interests; we can have laws that are for the People”.
During her visit, the Executive Vice President oversaw the progress of the Bodega Plan, the installation of a drinking water treatment plant for filling water bottles, as well as the spaces of the Community Self-Government Room and the Hall of the Judges and Justices of the Peace in the community.
