As part of the National Day of Insurgent History and the Sovereign Rights of the Venezuelan People, the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, presented the National History Award 2023- 2025, in recognition of men and women who dedicate their lives to the preservation of the country's historical memory.

In that regard, he extended his congratulations to these historians, teachers and people who promote the preservation of the history and cultural heritage of Venezuela. “I am very pleased to have given this recognition,” he said.

He stressed that in the 121 historical research papers they submitted during the call, “they are committed to conscience and collective memory.”

“ Insurgent history is the story of those who fight, it's the story of those who fight for independence, for our homeland, sovereignty and self-determination, it's not the history of cowards (...) here is the history of insurgents, we are all insurgents,” he said.

For his part, the president of the National Center for Historical Studies (CNEH), Omar Hurtado Rayugsen, highlighted that some of the winners of the National History Award 2023 - 2025 were the following: Dulce Marrufo, Guillermo Carmona, José Manuel Hermoso, Marco Venot, Santos Luzardo Aponte, Alexandra Mulino, among others.
