Vice President of the CNE: So far 35% of the indigenous population has participated (+elections)

The vice-president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Carlos Quintero, reported that up to now 35% of the indigenous population has participated in the elections of 69 councilors and councilors from their municipalities.
During a telephone contact, Quintero reiterated that the polling stations will be open until 6 in the afternoon.
He also called on indigenous peoples to approach the voting centers to elect their representatives.
“The National Electoral Council estimates that tomorrow we will be proclaiming all these councilors to be elected today in the corresponding 69 municipal councils,” he said.
The CNE provided an electoral infrastructure of 88 voting centers, 111 polling stations and a total of 6,598 spokeswomen in the states of Amazonas, Apure, Anzoátegui, Bolívar, Delta Amacuro, Monagas, Sucre and Zulia.
