Vice President Rodríguez set up the International Congress of Entrepreneurs

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, electronically from China, installed the International Congress of Entrepreneurs, which takes place at the La Carlota Convention Center , in order to promote this important economic sector.

During her speech, the vice-president specified that this sector represents 90% of companies in the world, “ hence the importance, the relevance of the fact that Caracas, for three days, today Wednesday, Thursday and Friday is hosting this international meeting with such significant impact as the economic must-see”.

He also highlighted that entrepreneurs have a great impact on the generation of employment and on the “reduction of social gaps and especially what allows the generation of social inclusion (...) the global entrepreneurship monitor Latin America has one of the highest rates in the world in terms of entrepreneurship and our country is in the number 10 position, marking and highlighting the importance of this sector”.

He stressed that in Venezuela, President Nicolás Maduro presented before the “National Assembly a law for entrepreneurship and has been developing public policies aimed at development and expansion in our country,” while adding that in Venezuela there are 1,700,000 24 entrepreneurs registered, of whom 1,700,000 twenty-four (64%) are women and 58% are men; to whom “credits and financing have been granted”.

260 international guests participate in this congress, more than 150 national congressmen, “this group of people will be sharing, communicating and will also visit experiences in the tourist area of our country”.
