Vice President Rodríguez: The IMF lends itself to global economic aggression

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, assured, through her Telegram channel, that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) “is an erratic organism that has lost its sense of existence and lends itself to global economic aggression.”

The vice-president's comment responds to the IMF's assertion that Venezuela projects high inflation and economic contraction, so she noted that the nation “has 16 consecutive quarters of economic growth with its own efforts, leading even countries in the region that are not subject to barbaric unilateral coercive measures like our country.

He also indicated that “these infamous statements make very clear the IMF's bias and its pirated predictions against Venezuela. Their ill intent and double standards are undeniable. Its nature has been distorted and it has become an instrument of the decadent hegemonism of the global north.”
