Vice President Rodríguez: The United States seeks to attack and alter the peace and tranquility of our region

This Thursday, June 20, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, denounced that today Guyana and the United States are conspiring to take from Venezuela the territory that historically belongs to it.

In this regard, during the Economic Development Seminar, he specified that these actions also use it as a justification to “attack and alter the peace and tranquility of our region.”

He highlighted that Venezuela has denounced the plans of the United States to destabilize the region with its military bases in Guyana and the visits of the Southern Command to the countries of the region.

For this reason, Rodríguez specified that the countries of the region must understand the actions being carried out by the United States and Guyana, “it's not just because of a territorial controversy, it's a geopolitical controversy because of the immense energy wealth that is in that territory that belongs to Venezuela.”

He reaffirmed that Venezuela will not allow itself to be taken from its territory. “We will continue to fight for a human being, for a just society and for wealth to be for the benefit of our people, but also for the entire region,” he said.
