Vice President Rodríguez: US tariffs could generate a 60% recession in the world economy

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, stressed that according to international economists, the tariff policies promoted by the United States against the world's commercial countries could generate a recession of up to 60% in the world economy.

He added that these measures have already affected the world's stock markets, but that there will also be consequences on energy markets.

During the Digital Zone segment, in the broadcast of the 75th edition of the program “With Maduro+”, hosted by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, Rodríguez estimated that in the face of absurd economic measures, “obviously the United States has abandoned the flags of globalization and ignores the rules of the World Trade Organization, that is, its own rules”.

“The entire global energy market is impacted by these actions,” he reiterated.

He also stated that currently “we are living in times of uncertainty, because we do not know the next decisions that the centers of power will make in the United States.”
