The Executive Vice President and Minister of the People's Power of Hydrocarbons, Delcy Rodríguez, stressed that Venezuela and Russia own 24% of the planet's energy, so the United States (USA) wants to seize the hydrocarbons of both countries to maintain its hegemony.

During his participation in the 14th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum - SPIGF 2025, in virtual format, Rodríguez pointed out that US actions take place “in the face of this new world that is being built, built and that has a vanguard in the BRICS countries.”

In this regard, he highlighted that Russia has the largest gas reserves on the planet, followed by Iran and Qatar, and the three countries hold 51% of the world's reserves.

Finally, Rodríguez highlighted the importance of the project being carried out by Russia and China for the creation of the “Siberian Force 2” gas pipeline, which will guarantee the supply of gas to China and large Asian countries.
