Vice President Rodríguez: Venezuela demands the immediate release of President Maduro and his wife!

This Saturday, January 03, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, stated that Venezuela demands the immediate release of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores, after being captured by the United States (USA) after a military regression against the country.

“We demand the immediate release of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores; the only president of Venezuela is President Nicolás Maduro,” he said during the meeting of the National Defense Council.

He also recalled that Venezuela had already warned that an aggression against the country was under way under false excuses and pretexts. In addition, he stated that this unprecedented military action launched by the United States against Venezuela “constitutes a terrible stain on bilateral relations.”

He pointed out that the real objective of the attack perpetrated by the United States is to seize Venezuela's resources. “That is the real objective and the international community must know that this is the case,” he said.
