The Socialist Republic of Vietnam put into operation its first NVIDIA DGX B200 supercomputer, aimed at promoting research and development of next-generation artificial intelligence models.
This is the most advanced high-performance computing infrastructure in the country, with a capacity of up to 1.5 ExaFLOPS FP8, equivalent to 1.5 quintillion calculations per second.
This system, located in the Hoa Lac Technical Center, will allow large language models to be trained in Vietnamese, to develop multimodal models that integrate text, images, audio and video, and to create generative AI models for specific applications, and will serve as the central AI infrastructure of the Asian country, offering a strategic platform for the development of safe and reliable domestic technologies.
In addition, the supercomputer will allow the sharing of computing capacity with research institutions, companies and partners, contributing to the creation of a self-sufficient, secure and sustainable AI ecosystem.
