The Venezuelan men's rugby team is in the final stretch of its preparations to face the South American qualifiers of the 2027 Rugby World Cup and for this reason the national team will travel to Medellín, Colombia, to play in the tournament that will take place between September 25 and 29. In this first phase, those led by coach Carlos Caraza will face Peru and then against the winner of the match between Colombia and Costa Rica.
Carlos Caraza, the national team's strategist, expressed his satisfaction with the commitment shown by the players: “First, we want to thank you for your commitment to Venezuela and to our National Rugby Team, as well as your clear intention to be part of this team.”
