A new group of citizens received specialized training to deal with forest fires in natural areas of the country. The educational day focused on strengthening capacities to respond to environmental emergencies and expanding the reach of community brigades.

The course, taught by forest firefighter David Falsiroli, addressed updated fire control techniques, prevention methods and recovery actions in affected areas. The participants acquired essential knowledge about fire behavior, the use of tools and coordination with official bodies in situations of risk.

During the activity, Falsiroli stressed the need to sensitize the population about the impact of fires on natural heritage and the importance of environmental education, which represents an effective way to reduce the intensity of these events in the future and avoid irreversible damage to vulnerable ecosystems.

The initiative seeks to consolidate a network of trained volunteers who act in an articulated manner with the competent authorities. Citizen participation is presented as a key element for the protection of national parks, forest reserves and natural monuments, especially in seasons of high incidence.

With this training action, promoted by the Ministry of People's Power for Ecosocialism, it reinforces its policy of risk management and environmental conservation. The new brigade members are expected to contribute to surveillance, control and mitigation tasks in critical areas, in line with national ecological defense plans.
