Water Ministry improves drinking water distribution system in Táchira

The Ministry of the People's Power for Water Care through the Southwest Hydrological Region carried out a maintenance plan on the adduction line in San Cristóbal, Táchira state, to serve 400,000 inhabitants with improvements to the drinking water distribution system.

According to the ministerial portfolio, it indicated that the hydrological company addressed a total of 30 faults in 36, 42 and 54 inch tubes, which is why several crews were deployed to carry out the work over a 10-hour day in the municipalities of Cárdenas and San Cristóbal, recovering a flow of 35 liters per second.

Heavy machinery and welding equipment were used by technical and worker personnel. Subsequently, the corresponding maneuvers were carried out to gradually restore the supply of the service. Simultaneously, the hydrological workforce carried out cleaning work on decanter tank No. 3 of the Lamb Water Treatment Plant, located in the municipality of Cárdenas.
