This Monday, April 08, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, highlighted at a press conference the work schedule that the red awning has for this week:

In this regard:

  • “He called on the basic structures of the PSUV to join the Popular Consultation of April 21.”
  • “To continue with the tasks ahead of the presidential elections on July 28.”

He also indicated that for April 11, 12 and 13, the PSUV has a special agenda:

  • “To remember those days, to remember how things were, because they are days to go through our history and highlight it and work harder every day so that these things do not happen again, so that an event like that never happens again.”
  • Venezuela saw the face of fascism, “that fascism that today does not want a Law against Fascism to be approved.”
  •  The right wing “wanted to bathe the streets in blood to accuse Commander Chávez.”
  • Thanks to the civic-military union, Commander Chávez was rescued and returned to the Miraflores Palace.
  •  The right wing has never cared about what the People say, “they were not aware of what the People wanted, the People wanted to see Chávez; and they stole everything in a little while. They can't handle the dignity of our people.”
  • The right wing did not “count on this people, it did not have the most authentic civic and military union that is still consolidated today”.

Faced with the document delivered by Vice President Delcy Rodríguez to the International Court of Justice (ICJ), he indicated:

  • “Regardless of whether we don't recognize that instance, we are obliged to defend the historical truth of our country.”
  • We demonstrated to those who are plotting attacks against Venezuela, that "there are voices here to defend the Homeland”.
  • They are "compelling evidence of Venezuela's historical affiliation with Guiana Essequiba”.
  • “Today our vice-president, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that Guyana was organizing a military operation against our country, where the United States, the United Kingdom, is located, with its CIA operators. They are the aggressors.”
  • “They're going to say that the big guy from Venezuela is messing with Guyana. No, it's not Guyana, it's the United Kingdom, the United States, Exxon Mobil, they're very big against Venezuela.”
  • “Our party is emphatic. We support the Government of President Nicolás Maduro and all the actions that are being taken to make it clear to the world that Guyana Essequiba belongs to Venezuela.”
  • “Today the wretch of (Luis) Almagro came out, offending the Venezuelan people, from his position as an aggressor of imperialism.”

Regarding the assault on the Mexican embassy in Ecuador, he ruled:

  • “The PSUV rejects the action carried out by the Government of Ecuador at the Mexican embassy; as well as the violent takeover of the territory by the Ecuadorian government. Irresponsibility, at least on the part of those who run that country.”
  • “In Venezuela, we fully understand what our beloved president Andrés Manuel López Obrador and the Government of Mexico are going through.”
  • “Because it wasn't just April 11 when the outburst of fascism took over the Cuban and Venezuelan embassies... Remember that here, after the self-swearing of the Narnian government, our embassies were taken over in the United States, Bolivia and in several countries.”
  • We know, that's fascism at work!

Regarding the electoral issue, he highlighted the disaster of the Venezuelan opposition:

  • “Today we saw those contradictions on the right (...) It was the people of the MUD who chose their place on the card. And do you know who represented the MUD? Juan Carlos Caldera, the character is striking, because he was in the acts with Mrs. María Corina, with Mrs. Corina Yoris and with those who said they would not let her register. And now who is lying to them? ”.
  • They themselves, with their clumsiness, send the same person accused of corruption, but beyond that, one of those who was in the photo... How is that? What explanation do they give to each other? They prefer to blame us, they've always had the power of the card; they didn't want to register these people, that's another thing, that they're taking a toll on each other, that's another thing.”
  • “The manipulators came out to tell people that until July 18 they had a chance to change candidates in the presidential elections, that's not true.”
  • Article 44 states that the “electoral schedule shall establish the periods provided for nominations. Nominations entered outside the period specified in the electoral schedule will be extemporaneous and will be considered as not submitted.”
  • “You can't replace someone who hasn't been nominated previously, that's very clear, if they use their electoral offer with a lie, they're going to look like liars. It can only be replaced by someone who is running for office, otherwise it is another process, the National Electoral Council would have to call a new process, different from the one that is already under way.”

In the same way, he emphasized the Anti-Fascism Act:

  • “Against the Law of Fascism, there are the fascists, they stand up and form a party immediately.”
  • “The Law of Hate is rejected by haters; the Civil Code, by criminals and the Law against Fascism, by fascists.”
  • He called on Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) not to worry, since the Law on the Control, Regularization, Action and Financing of NGOs and the like will soon be approved, “because it is the way they have obtained to harm this country for a long time and fascism is mixed with each one of them, these are their methods.”
  • “Who has seen a statement from an NGO or a human rights group warning about the danger of murder of the National President? , none, they party and sometimes promote those things.”
  • “Fascism mutates, fascism disguises itself; now what should not be disguised is the fight against fascism in any form of expression, nowhere, they should not give rise, nor place, it must be nipped in the bud and that is what we are trying to do with this law.”
