This Monday, August 12, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, held the weekly press conference of the red awning, in which he emphasized that during the meeting, the activities to be carried out by the political organization during the month of August for the meeting with its militants were evaluated.

He also emphasized how the Bolivarian Revolution and the civic-military-police union defeated the violent plans of the extreme right after the elections last Sunday, July 28.
- “They refuse to recognize what is happening in Venezuela because their agenda was never electoral, their agenda was one of violence and we have succeeded with the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), with the police forces and our people to put an end to that violence, the civic-military-police union has yielded the results we expect.”
- The extremist right always applies the same script of summoning its followers to generate violence, because “that is their way of doing politics”.
- “They keep repeating that script; they remember (Juan) Guaidó (...) They will end up the same: defeated and will be defeated by all the forces of the Revolution, the same script, the same story.”
- This time “they themselves carried weapons and murdered their own people; we warned the fathers and mothers of families that they were going to use them as cannon fodder, as elements of the show they wanted to stage against Venezuela (...) it was violence between them”.
- “They want to do damage control so that they don't link them; not only are they linked, but they are very clear that they financed and added violence to an electoral process that had ended in peace.”

Regarding the ruling of the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Karim Khan, he said:
- “It seems good to us that he is aware of Venezuela, but he can also be aware of Palentina if time allows him, for a little while, that's all.”
- “The issue of the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court is recurring against Venezuela. I am a congressman and I speak in my capacity as a deputy, that man is paid his salary by the United States, so he will never act against the United States, that is why he will never act against Israel, ever. That he is going to investigate what is happening in Palestine, of course, deserves an investigation that 1.8% of the population has been exterminated by a genocidal policy of Israeli Zionism.”
- “The crimes against the Palestinian people don't even need proof, because the videos they themselves have posted are terrible, which the Zionist government of Israel has posted.”
- “I have no hope with this man because his attitude is recurrent (...) I think the prosecutor (Tarek William Saab) said today or yesterday, there is not a single complaint of human rights violation, not a single one; on the contrary, two national guards killed, a number of police officers and national guards injured. They tried to assassinate national guards en masse, they were miraculously saved.”
- “He doesn't have much interest in punishing fascism (...) he's interested in closing his eyes to fascist actions and here in Venezuela we are saving Venezuela and a large part of the world from fascism, fascism will not happen here.”

- Full and absolute support from the PSUV for all actions taken by the Venezuelan State to preserve peace throughout the country.
- “Those who are inciting violence are unaware of the National Electoral Council (CNE), the Venezuelan State, the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) and are unaware of their own country.”
- “What they want is to hand over Venezuela and its wealth to imperialism, but as long as there is a Revolution that's not going to happen, Venezuela will remain free, sovereign and independent.”
- “Peace must be guaranteed to all Venezuelans, including the opposition sectors.”
- Fascism is a very dangerous trend, “not only for Venezuela, but for the world. The peace of this continent depends to a large extent on our triumph here today (...) Here in Venezuela fascism will not happen, it will not take place and we close the door on it! , in Venezuela there will be peace”.
- “We must have zero tolerance, with fascism you don't negotiate, you shouldn't establish dialogue, you defeat it, you crush it.”
- “This party rejects the interference of any institution, organization or country in the world that wants to meddle in the internal affairs of Venezuela.”
- “The internal affairs of Venezuela are resolved by Venezuelans, Venezuelan women and their institutions.”
- “The elections in Venezuela have to be a model for the world, of how a people are organized and able to resist the attacks of fascism, with all the media in favor of fascism, with all the savagery they have committed against Venezuela through sanctions, blockades and persecution.”
- “They were attacked and persecuted by those same opposition sectors; the former candidate (José) Brito reported that he was persecuted and his family attacked by these sectors, they were not security agencies.”
- “They created a monster and now they don't know what to do with the monster they created. We do know (...) We are not going to negotiate nor are we going to dialogue with fascism, we are going to liquidate fascism, here in Venezuela there will be no fascism”.

In the same way, he referred to the issue of social networks, which are used by these sectors to attack Venezuela:
- “We continue to denounce the siege, harassment and attack against our country. The issue of social networks is a mental and family health problem!”
- “The president has just decreed the installation of the National Cybersecurity Council, this is already a State problem with this story of freedom of expression defined by the owner of the system.”
- “El Mazo is still going to be broadcast on Venezolana de Televisión (VTV) and other channels.”

He also spoke out in response to the statements of the United Nations (UN), which announced its interest in “mediating” over the alleged unstable situation in Venezuela:
- “What is the situation in which the UN wants to mediate? There is no situation of disorder in Venezuela, there is no situation of instability in Venezuela.”
- “What is there are fascist criminals who do not recognize the results and the electoral body that they have called for violence has been rejected by their own people.”
- The country is in normality thanks to the civic-military-police union “and to a State that is functioning”
