The Bolivarian Government is carrying out Plan Cayapa, through which inhabitants of areas vulnerable to rains in Maracay join the cleaning and desolving efforts to prevent damage to the capital of the state of Aragua.

With regard to the recent rains recorded in Maracay and Choroní and the approach of the start of the tropical wave season, an articulated work is being carried out with the objective of prioritizing the immediate response to any climatic event. The measures being implemented seek to mitigate the effects of rains in the most at-risk communities in the Girardot municipality, given the beginning of the rainy season.

Since January, the local government has been implementing the Preventive Rain Plan, which includes the cleaning of streams, dams, cleaning solid waste, cleaning of pitchers and streets, and with the help of Civil Protection, which maintains a joint surveillance system with communities, trained to measure water levels and report changes.
