With the participation of more than 120 national and international cyclists, the Vuelta al Táchira competition begins on January 9 with a route of more than 1,500 kilometers, distributed in 10 stages.
The competition will start between San Cristóbal and Socopó, on January 11 the Santos Rafael Bermúdez circuit will be held in San Cristóbal, and on the 12th and 13th it will be the crossing between America and the Fria-Mérida routes and the local circuit. While on the 14th he will tour El Vigía-La Grita.
On January 15, there will be metropolitan circuits, San Cristóbal-Tariba, the 16th of Abejales, Monument to Christ the King and Cerro el Cristo. On January 17, the circuit returns in Rubio and on the 18th is the grand closure of Ureña-Velodromo de San Cristóbal.
Among the new features is the return of the Los Estudiantes circuits in Rubio, Emblematic Finals in Mérida and the El Cristo Hill.
Among the confirmed international teams are one from Colombia and one from Cuba, and confirmations are expected from Mexico, the Netherlands and Portugal.
The Frontino Bear was introduced as the official mascot of the competition to pay tribute to the Andean fauna.
