The president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, summoned the country's workers to an important meeting in Caracas on April 30, to address the economic agenda.

“Today it's our turn to heal social wounds, economic wounds, political wounds, spiritual wounds, and pilgrimage has that objective,” said the National President in Charge.

During a telephone contact with the Pilgrimage for a Venezuela Without Sanctions, held in Yaracuy state, Rodríguez explained that he will present a clear map of the effects of the blockade and the economic sanctions that, for a decade, dismantled the welfare state of Venezuelans.

The President in Charge emphasized that the Pilgrimage has as its main goal to weave unity and promote collective action, inviting everyone to walk, sing and pray together for peace and for a Venezuela free of sanctions.

“Already in March we took a first step and this May 1st we will take another step and always with caution that the remedy can cure and heal and that we don't have to say the remedy was worse than the disease,” he said of the announcements he will release at the end of the month, a Presidential Press review.

Rodríguez reaffirmed his commitment to a firm and progressive economic recovery for Venezuela. While recognizing that there are no magic solutions, he emphasized the firm will and determination to work together for all.
