After the recent United States air strike on Iran's nuclear facilities, world leaders raised their voices in rejection, as a clear violation of the United Nations Charter and International Law and jeopardizes world peace.

“The Chinese Government strongly condemns the U.S. attack against Iran and against nuclear facilities under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency. This action seriously violates the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and international law and aggravates tensions in the Middle East,” a statement said.

In addition, in the letter, China called on the parties to the conflict, especially Israel, to cease fire as soon as possible, guarantee the safety of the civilian population and begin a process of dialogue and negotiations.

In that regard, he affirmed that China is willing to work together with the international community to join forces, defend justice and contribute to the restoration of peace and stability in the Middle East.

For his part, the president of Chile, Gabriel Boric, also condemned the attack, asserting that attacking nuclear power plants is prohibited by international law.

“We will defend respect for international humanitarian law in all instances. Having power does not authorize us to use it in violation of the rules that we as humanity have given ourselves. Even if you're the United States. We demand and need peace,” he said.

Meanwhile, through a statement, Colombia rejected the unilateral use of force, “especially when it contravenes the fundamental principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations and jeopardizes international peace and stability.”

“We also reiterate that the nuclear non-proliferation regime constitutes an essential pillar for global security. Its weakening represents a direct threat to all humanity,” he said.

The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, pointed out that the bombings are an aggression that “drags humanity into a crisis of irreversible consequences” and emphasized that they constitute a dangerous escalation of conflict in the Middle East.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico issued an urgent call for diplomatic dialogue, for peace between the parties involved in the Middle East conflict.

“In accordance with our constitutional principles of foreign policy and the pacifist conviction of our country, we reiterate our call to de-escalate tensions in the region. The restoration of peaceful coexistence between the States of the region is the highest priority,” he added.

The president of Bolivia, Luis Arce also strongly condemned the arbitrary attack of the United States, pointing out that bombing objectives of this nature not only jeopardizes regional and global peace, but also violates fundamental principles of International Law and the UN Charter.
