The general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, Xi Jinping, explained the need to vigorously promote the high-quality development of new energies in China to make greater contributions to building a world.

“The way to overcome these challenges is to vigorously develop new energies,” he emphasized.

In this regard, he indicated that China's energy development still faces a series of challenges, such as enormous demand pressure, supply constraints and the arduous tasks of the ecological and low-carbon transition.
