Yaracuy Government clears power lines with Plan Pica and Poda

During an intensive day of Plan Pica and Poda, 200 linear meters of high-voltage networks were cleared in four communities in the municipality of Páez, Yaracuy state.

The tasks carried out by the National Electric Corporation (COPORLEC) and the local government respond to the measures of the Venezuela, Energy and Life National Plan with a view to preventing breakdowns in the interconnected system.

“We are taking advantage of this load management in the Sabana de Parra circuit to execute the Pica y Poda Plan. A team of more than 30 workers from the mayor's office joined CORPOELEC and the heads of UBCH to clean up lines in an emblematic area such as Las Ceibas and Mayurupí Park,” said Carlos Puerta, mayor of the town.

For his part, the municipality's electricity coordinator, Elvis López, explained that the initiative seeks to minimize unscheduled outages caused by branch interference.
