Young community members from Carabobo, Lara and Aragua were deployed this Saturday, June 21, in assemblies for the election of community projects, which will be nominated in the next National Popular Consultation, on July 27.

Young people from the municipality of Naguanagua, in the state of Carabobo, attended the Popular Youth Assemblies to present, debate and nominate their projects.

From the commune of La Siembra del Comandante, one of the participants in the assembly, asserted that they have drawn up their dream maps and will participate with all the hopes set.

He also thanked President Nicolás Maduro for giving such a wonderful tool as the first popular consultation for youth. “We are going to propose a project to undertake as young people and that benefits the community,” he said.

In that sense, he invited all young people to participate and not to stay at home waiting for others to choose for them.

On the other hand, in the state of Lara, multiple popular youth assemblies were also held, and one of the participants explained that they are going to apply for the seven projects, which can be sports, recreational, health or communication.

President Nicolás Maduro has given us the hope of materializing our dreams, of continuing to work and building our project within the territory,” he said.

He emphasized that they have the concrete agenda of action, the dream map and the social cartography of Youth as a communal territory and as young people. “We are going to go to this deployment with a team of promoters who were in the process of training the Antonio José de Sucre leadership school with more than 80 classmates,” he added.

Meanwhile, from the Youth Institute, in the state of Aragua, an assembly was held with the new generations as part of the popular integration of young people.

Andreina Maluenga stated that youth are deployed in the 191 communes of the state, “building this process of territorializing youth”, which comprises four strategic phases.

He explained that the first phase consisted of training promoters at the Antonio José de Sucre National School. Subsequently, the development of “dream maps” was developed, which reflect the real aspirations of young people in their territories.

The third stage is focused on building action agendas and on the communal organization of youth, with an emphasis on working from community councils and municipal structures. “It's about assuming real responsibilities in the management of government, governance and especially in self-government,” Maluega stressed.

The fourth phase involves the election, financing and execution of communal youth projects, which have emerged directly from the communities. However, he stressed that it is not only a matter of executing, but also of assuming the social comptroller's office as the main flag.
