Young students from the state of Monagas rejected the kidnapping of the President of the Republic, Nicolás
Maduro, and the first female combatant, Cilia Flores, while calling for the immediate release of the
Venezuelan leader.
From the headquarters of the National
Experimental University Rómulo Gallegos in Maturín, the vice-president of the
National Popular Student Council of the Bolivarian University of Venezuela (UBV), Kannielys
Vargas, expressed her repudiation of the actions and aggressions of the North American empire against the country and the people, according to the PSUV press.
He also said that the Venezuelan people,
especially to future professionals, send a message of morality, struggle and
strength in times of adversity. At the same time, he called on students to
express themselves through different platforms and media so
that President Maduro and his colleague
Cilia Flores can be released and brought back.
Vargas emphasized that through the
student movement, young people have achieved great things in the struggles to overthrow
the extreme right, at a time when they wanted to damage and undermine the peace of the nation.
For his part, the spokesperson and secretary of culture of the Venezuelan Federation of University Students, Simón Jiménez, called for the work and strengthening of the student mass to face any adversity or attack perpetrated by internal or external extremists who seek to damage the sovereignty of the Homeland.
