The second day of the Zamorano Fund Meeting 2024 was successfully held at the “Carlos Lanz” Agrourban Training Center (CEFAC), located in San Martín, San Juan parish, Caracas, an event that brought together producers and government representatives with the purpose of strengthening urban and family agriculture, to promote productive development in the country.

The general director of the Training and Innovation Foundation to support the Agrarian Revolution (Ciara), Suleima Parra, highlighted the importance of the working groups carried out “during this day, a first advance of the working paper was carried out through a diagnosis, corroborating relevant information about the physical existence and permanence of these Funds in the territory. We also update information about cooperatives and their productive sector to know their status,” said Parra.

During the development of the activity, various training activities were carried out, as well as the delivery of 33 certificates of participation, which allowed attendees to obtain greater recognition of the dynamics of the meeting.

The Deputy Minister of the Community Training and Social Movements System of the Ministry of Popular Power for Communes, Social Movements and Urban Agriculture, Carlos Rodríguez, was also present and reaffirmed his commitment to the Zamoran Funds. “we assume this commitment so that young people are trained in our Training Course 'The Commune Is Young', promoted through the Ministry,” said Rodríguez.

He stressed the importance of training and training, “if we don't have ideological unity among young producers, it's very difficult to see ourselves as one body in the face of the enemy that is imperialism and the capitalist system.”

In addition, Arturo Delgado, representative of the Zamorano Aracal Fund, in the state of Yaracuy, described the day as very positive. “We congratulate President Nicolás Maduro for this impetus he is giving to the Zamoran Funds. We expected this support to continue contributing to the country's productive apparatus,” said Delgado.

For her part, Rosario Ríos, principal spokesperson for the Zamoran Funds, expressed her gratitude: “The Zamoran Funds are a project of the Revolution and for the Revolution. We thank our minister Ángel Prado for giving us our place as men and women who produce, as farmers with productive land that we want to continue giving back more for the country's food security.”

This meeting represents a significant step towards strengthening the agrarian movement in Venezuela, promoting the training and organization of producers to face the challenges of the agricultural sector.
