The youth and people of the state of La Guaira, this Tuesday, January 20, carried out a massive mobilization from El Fortín to express their unrestricted support for national sovereignty.
“We came together in La Guaira to speak out and demand the release of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores. In La Guaira, there is a spirit of unity, of conscience and that what happened leads us to continue defending our sovereignty, our independence,” said the deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Nicolás Maduro Guerra.
The deputy led the walk, which overflowed energy and determination in the streets of the central coast. During the tour, attendees raised flags and slogans to repudiate the violent actions that affected the peace of the nation in recent weeks.
He recalled with pain the attack of January 3rd, an event that caused the death of more than 100 people and left a hundred injured.
In his speech, Maduro Guerra denounced that the ambition for the country's strategic resources motivated these aggressions, which claimed the lives of innocent citizens in Guaire's territory.
The demonstrators demanded the immediate release of the presidential couple and reaffirmed their commitment to the absolute independence of Venezuela. In every corner of La Guaira, a spirit of unity and a collective awareness of the importance of defending the constitutional thread was perceived.
Maduro Guerra, together with the Guaireño people, expressed solid support for the Political High Command and for the administration of the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, as well as for Diosdado Cabello, Jorge Rodríguez and the military high command in the preservation of peace and governance in the country.
“From here, we also bring all our support to the Political High Command, to all the team that President Nicolás Maduro left here, to the colleague Delcy Rodríguez, to Diosdado Cabello, Jorge Rodríguez, to the military high command, to the people, demonstrating dignity, as Nicolás taught us,” he stressed.
The day concluded with a call to maintain dignity and loyalty, principles that guide the fight for the return of the head of state and the deputy Cilia Flores.
