Venezuela is preparing for the great return of the universal queen of triple jumping, Yulimar Rojas, who returns this Tuesday, September 16, to the ring at the World Athletics Championship in Tokyo, to compete for her first qualification in the final after two years of absence from the competitive scene due to injury.

The Venezuelan queen of athletics returns to take flight in the elite's competitive terrain and will do so with the possibility of claiming her fifth consecutive outdoor crown, according to the VTV news portal.

In the qualifying phase for the final this Tuesday, the Venezuelan will have two options to get her place in the final of the triple: the first option will be to jump 14.35 meters, which gives her the direct ticket and, secondly, to place among the 12 best brands in the general standings of the qualifying series.

The universal record holder and Olympic champion with a championship record at the Tokyo 2020 Games, has a personal best record of 15.74, the universal limit of triple jump on indoor track.

It will have Jasmine Moore, from the United States, and the Cuban Liadagmis Povea as its main rivals in Serie B, with season records of 14.68 and 14.84 respectively.


The qualifying round of the triple jump will be this Tuesday, September 16 at 6:40 a.m. in Venezuela.
