Yván Gil: Barrio Adentro stands as a triumphant testimony of Venezuela and Cuba

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil thanked the Cuban government for the gesture in the person of his counterpart Bruno Rodríguez, Foreign Minister of Cuba, as he commemorated the 22nd anniversary of the Barrio Adentro Mission.

“We want to highlight the fundamental role played by Cuba and Commander Fidel Castro, through their thousands of humanist doctors and doctors, who made possible the Health Revolution in Venezuela. Today, Barrio Adentro stands as a triumphant testimony of what we can achieve when our peoples come together in a spirit of brotherhood and solidarity,” Gil emphasized through his account on the social network Telegram.

The Barrio Adentro Mission was created in 2003 by Commander Hugo Chávez and is a social program that has been promoted by the Bolivarian Government as a public policy that guarantees the universal right to health and free medical care.
