Just 24 hours after its opening, the collection center in support of the peoples of the Middle East, set up in the Salvador Allende Hall of the Foreign Ministry, has received 10 tons of essential supplies.

The information was released by the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil Pinto, who stressed that more than 11,000 products have been received, including medical surgical equipment, gloves, needles, masks, probes, non-perishable foods and diapers, among others.

“We already have more than 11,000 items here, 10 tons of products, which are going to be sent to Lebanon in the coming days, to send a message of solidarity and a message of encouragement to the population that is suffering the biggest catastrophe, a people that has been able to resist,” he said.

During his statements, Gil celebrated the spirit of solidarity of the Venezuelan people and the Arab community in the country and the rejection of the attacks perpetrated by the Zionist State of Israel.

He also invited the general population to support this cause and reaffirmed that, as pointed out by the head of state, Nicolás Maduro, the peoples of the Middle East are not alone, “in the face of this aggression, they have the support and support of Venezuela, which will always be hand in hand with the Arab people, with the Persian people, with the just peoples of the world.”

Finally, he reiterated the call to the international community to denounce Israel's attacks, “popular mobilization is the only way to stop this massacre, to stop this genocide; global condemnation and diplomatic efforts that Venezuela is also attending to.”
