Yván Gil: Venezuela and Colombia will continue to advance together on the path of friendship and diplomacy

The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, dismissed, this Wednesday, in the name of the People and the President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, the Colombian president, Gustavo Petro.

Through his account on the social network X, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister highlighted the strengthening of bilateral relations between Caracas and Bogotá, “after a fruitful day of constructive dialogue”, while adding that “Venezuela and Colombia will continue to advance together on the path of friendship and diplomacy.”

President Gustavo Petro arrived at Maiquetía Simón Bolívar International Airport this Tuesday with the intention of holding a meeting with his Venezuelan counterpart, in which he reviewed the evolution of relations between Colombia and Venezuela and the new opportunities that are opening up in all fields for development.

They also talked about the common vision of the threats of war that exist in the world and the need to jointly preserve peace and stability in South America. Meanwhile, the Venezuelan head of state ratified the “willingness to help whatever is possible, to build peace in Colombia; we are peoples who have to see each other from a perspective of cooperation, brotherhood and understanding. Venezuela always has its doors open for Colombia!”

Finally, President Maduro assured, through his social network X, that the work agenda with the president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, “strengthens our brotherly relations and consolidates the action map, heading towards a new era together, with respect, solidarity, ethics and dialogue to address various factors that include all areas of interest for the benefit of our sister nations.”
