The construction of the discharge channel, carried out by President Nicolás Maduro through the Bolivarian Government, on the Zuata reservoir in the state of Aragua is 80% complete, said the Minister of People's Power for Water Care, Rodolfo Marco Torres.

This impressive engineering work will serve to optimize the irrigation system, in addition to ensuring the control and regulation of the water resource used to serve surrounding populations and agricultural sectors.

The works, detailed the holder of the Water Care portfolio in a press release, consist of the installation of 200 linear meters of reinforced concrete, the installation of 12 tanks for the drainage system and the emptying of a thousand cubic meters of granular and concrete material.

“This is an open channel located at kilometer 88 of the Autopista Regional del Centro, in the state of Aragua. This reinforced concrete channel has a length of 200 linear meters that end in a dissipating stream that incorporates it into the Aragua River,” said the minister, while recalling that these tasks have been carried out over three months and will be added to the works of the La Curia dam.

This action, which is carried out within the framework of the 1x10 of Good Governance, is part of the Plan for the Comprehensive Rehabilitation and Control of the Lake of Valencia - Los Tacarigua, by institutions of President Nicolás Maduro in response to the needs of the people of the central axis of the country.
