With the participation of 10 delegations from the municipalities of Paz Castillo, Independencia, Urdaneta, Guarenas, Guatire, Simón Bolívar and Tomás Lander from Miranda state, the 3rd Meeting of San Juanes was held this weekend, in connection with the day of Saint John the Baptist, which will be held on June 24.

The cultural day that began in Simón Bolívar Square, between red, white and green colors, dances and drums, was accompanied by more than 400 Sanjuaneros who toured the main streets of the town of Lucy until they reached the El Jabillo sector.

During the meeting, Mayor Víctor Julio González thanked the delegations for this activity that reaffirms the culture of Venezuela. “Beautiful day in which we honor the work of our cultivators who make it possible for us to enjoy culture every day in all its expressions, I am very happy that for the third time in our town this great Sanjuanero meeting is taking place, we are continuing and working to maintain our traditions,” he said, according to Venezolana de Televisión.

For his part, the president of the Municipal Institute of Culture, Marco Tulio Correa, said that this cultural meeting came about thanks to the idea of the San Juan Foundation of the Central Quarter of Santa Lucía.

“The objective is to unify these meetings of brotherhood and feelings between Sanjuaneros brothers, which was a success due to the number of attendees and the reception given to it by the Lucitean people,” he said.

In addition, the president of the San Juan Bautista de Santa Lucía Foundation, Eliana Centeno, thanked the municipal government and all the delegations for joining this great tour that took place to the beat of the drum.
