1,200 students from the University of Telecommunications began training

The Experimental University of Telecommunications and Informatics (UNETI) - CANTV Center, began undergraduate classes in Computer Engineering and Telecommunications, with an enrollment of 1,200 students.

Engineering students, including active Cantv staff and members of the Technical Telecommunications Boards (MTT), will receive academic training at the CANTV Center for Telecommunications Studies, located on San Martín Avenue in Caracas.

According to a press release from the telephone company, during the opening ceremony, the president of the M/G Company Jesús Aldana, accompanied by the rector of the UNETI, Dr. Carlos Berbecí, took a tour of the classrooms, welcoming new students and sharing their enthusiasm for the start of the new academic cycle.

During the activity, Aldana urged students to maintain a positive attitude throughout their careers. “Many generations have been trained at the CET and have contributed their knowledge to the development of telecommunications in the country,” he emphasized, stressing the relevance of his work in the future of the sector.

Academic training will be developed under a hybrid modality, combining face-to-face and virtual classes. Of the 1,200 enrolled students, approximately 500 opted for Telecommunications Engineering and 700 for Computer Engineering, reflecting a growing interest in these key areas for the country's technological development.

With this start of classes, more than 8,000 students have joined this study center and the commitment of CANTV and UNETI to train trained professionals who contribute to the advancement of telecommunications in Venezuela is reiterated.
