436,000 people have participated in the Plan for the Renewal of Community Council Spokesmen

This Monday, the Minister of Popular Power for Communes, Social Movements and Urban Agriculture, Ángel Prado, informed about the Plan for the Renewal of Community Council Spokespersons, that 436,000 people have participated in the election process.

In the same vein, Prado stressed that with this plan there is a projection of moving to more than 400 circuits, from circuits to communes. In addition, he highlighted that of the leaders and leaders who have participated, 320,000 are women, more than 122,000 are men and 160,000 are young people.

He also noted that, as part of the progress that has been achieved with the delivery of more than 20,000 communal projects, mayors and governorates, including ministries, have played an important role, because they have contributed to the financing of the projects.

Therefore, the holder of the ministerial portfolio stressed that, if the renewal plan were already being set in place in the 5,336 communes, about 2 million grass-roots leaders would be active in this process.
