A coalition of 54 countries asks the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for urgent action to stop the transfer of weapons to the Zionist Government of Israel, Hispantv said.

“Fifty-four countries and organizations collectively call on members of the UN Security Council to take immediate steps to stop the supply or transfer of weapons, ammunition and related equipment to Israel, the occupying power,” the Palestinian mission to the United Nations (UN) published in its X account.

The statement further emphasized the importance of adhering to international law and previous resolutions.

In this regard, he urged to take into account the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on July 19 of this year, which declares Israel responsible for apartheid during the occupation of Palestinian territories.

On the other hand, he called for the implementation of General Assembly resolution ES-10/24, adopted on September 18, 2024, which calls for restrictions on the transfer of weapons in situations where “there are reasonable grounds to suspect that they may be used in the occupied Palestinian territories”, including Al-Quds.
